The study investigates the role of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) in ending military hostilities in Cabo Delgado Province. The effects include a serious humanitarian crisis, with more than 900,000 displaced people and limited access to essential services, as well as the destruction of infrastructure. SADC has implemented military interventions and dialogue initiatives, but faces challenges in addressing the root causes of the conflict. Its action is crucial to promoting peace and strengthening local governance.
