• Abstract:

  This article presents a literature review as a starting point for studies that provide scientific evidence of the influence and impact of emotional imbalance on diabetes treatment. This study aims to draw on the work of renowned authors in the field, based on qualitative, bibliographic, and exploratory research. The impact of emotional imbalance on the treatment of chronic diseases can be defined as focusing on the individual’s quality of life. The objective here is to investigate whether blood glucose levels are influenced by emotional factors. To verify this, we will provide a detailed review of the literature addressing this topic. In exploring this issue, we identify certain elements that raise questions, provide evidence, and indicate whether or not emotional dysfunction influences treatment.
