This study has an exploratory, qualitative nature. It was carried out through bibliographical surveys. Thus, this work aims to become an important study tool for academics and health professionals, as it will enable them to obtain greater knowledge about psychosocial disorders in cancer patients in Brazil, allowing them to address the relationship between the consequences and treatments of cancer, issues that need be further explored to contribute to the scientific, social and public health spheres.
