Abstract: This article presents the ECRH Model (Nursing as the Science of Human Responses) as an epistemological and identity‑based proposal capable of integrating the object, purpose, method, results, and representation of contemporary nursing. It is a theoretical‑reflective study grounded in a narrative review of the literature on nursing epistemology, classical theories, clinical reasoning, and professional identity. The model is introduced as an original construction structured into five conceptual axes. The ECRH Model defines nursing as an applied science of human responses, organizing its practice into: Object (human responses), Purpose (modulation of these responses), Method (clinical reasoning, the Nursing Process, and standardized languages), Results (measurable changes in human responses), and Representation (professional identity and communication). By integrating classical theories, contemporary practices, and emerging social demands, the model offers a robust conceptual structure to strengthen the scientific identity of nursing, guide clinical practice, support educational processes, and foster research on human responses. It represents a significant advancement in the epistemological consolidation of the profession.
