Abstract: Neuroplasticity refers to the ability of the nervous system to reorganize connections, adjust circuits and support new forms of learning, adaptation and functional recovery. This article aimed to analyze the neurobiological mechanisms of neuroplasticity and its applications in everyday life, mental health, neurological rehabilitation and nursing practice. The method was bibliographic, with an integrative organization of findings, based on open scientific materials published between 2021 and 2026 and retrieved from PubMed, PubMed Central, SciELO and open access journals. The main findings indicated that learning, physical exercise, sleep, nutrition, environmental stimulation, emotional care and goal oriented rehabilitation influence brain plasticity. In clinical practice, neuroplasticity is linked to recovery after stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson disease, Alzheimer disease, multiple sclerosis, depressive disorders, psychological trauma and substance use disorders. In nursing, the theme supports educational care, continuous monitoring, autonomy and therapeutic adherence. The study concluded that neuroplasticity should not be understood as a simple promise of change, but as a biological and relational process that requires time, repetition, supportive environments and interdisciplinary care.
