Abstract: This article analyzes the BerçARTE project, developed at the Berço da Liberdade Municipal Early Childhood Education Center in Benevides (PA), as a pedagogical initiative that integrates art, territoriality, and historical memory into early childhood education. The project involves creating a monthly gallery featuring the children’s artwork, using recyclable materials and natural elements, and emphasizing the creative process and children’s active participation. The study, which employs a qualitative approach and is descriptive-analytical in nature, is grounded in frameworks from the sociology of childhood, art education, critical environmental education, and historical-critical pedagogy. As an empirical focus, the project highlights the theme of the liberation of enslaved people in Benevides. The results show that the project promotes the expansion of expressive languages, the development of creativity, and the strengthening of cultural identity.
