MANIOBRAS VAGALES EN URGENCIAS Y EMERGENCIAS PEDIÁTRICAS
Ante un paciente estable con taquicardia supraventricular, la primera opción en
la línea de tratamiento es la aplicación de maniobras vagales. La ventaja que
tienen es que son fáciles de realizar, tanto por parte del equipo sanitario, como
del propio paciente.
En cambio, en el caso del paciente pediátrico se da la dificultad de la falta de
comprensión y/o capacidad para ejecutar ciertas maniobras, así como la
escasa información disponible acerca de las maniobras que podemos aplicar
en niños.

Abstract:
When faced with a stable patient with supraventricular tachycardia, the first
option in the line of treatment is the application of vagal maneuvers. The
advantage they have is that they are easy to perform, both by the healthcare
team and by the patient himself.
On the other hand, in the case of the pediatric patient there is the difficulty of
the lack of understanding and/or ability to execute certain maneuvers, as well
as the scarce information available about the maneuvers that we can apply in
children.
