LA CAPACIDAD FUNCIONAL EN ADULTOS MAYORES CON ICTUS ISQUÉMICO TRAS LA REHABILITACIÓN FÍSICA. CIENFUEGOS, CUBA 2022.
Uno de los retos de la medicina moderna es el envejecimiento progresivo de la población mundial, que trae un aumento de las enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles. Dentro de ellas, las enfermedades cerebrovasculares, en particular el ictus isquémico, donde sus síntomas y sus secuelas, acarrean una afectación directa a la capacidad funcional de los adultos mayores para desarrollar sus actividades de la vida diaria. En esta investigación, se argumenta teóricamente que la rehabilitación física es un proceso necesario para la recuperación de la capacidad funcional de adultos mayores con ictus isquémico a partir de la fase subaguda. Se efectuó un seguimiento en consulta externa de neurología durante la aplicación, en el contexto de la comunidad, del Programa de rehabilitación física propuesto por Valdés Hidalgo. Para ello, se realizó un estudio de intervención cuasiexperimental de tipo Diseño de series cronológicas de un solo grupo, de corte longitudinal, en el Municipio de Rodas de Cienfuegos. Como resultado se obtuvo, un cambio favorable en la ganancia funcional absoluta, que contribuyó a la mejora de la capacidad funcional en los adultos mayores con ictus isquémico a partir de la fase subaguda, tras la aplicación del Programa de rehabilitación física en el contexto de la comunidad.

Abstract:
One of the challenges of the modern medicine is the progresive aging of the world population, that brings an increase of the chronicles diseases non transmissible. Among them the cerebrovascular diseases, specifically the ischemic ictus, where its symptoms and sequels carry a direct affectation to the functional capacity of the elderly to develop their daily activities. In this research is theorically argue that the phisical rehabilitation is a necesary process for the recovery of functional capcity of the elderly whith ischemic ictus starting of the subacute phase. It was carried out a follow up in Neurology external consultation during the application in the context of the community of the phisical rehabilitation program porposed by Valdes Hidalgo. To do that was done a cuasiexperimental intervention study the design type of chronological series of just one group of longitudinal cut in the municipality of Rodas, Cienfuegos Cuba’s province. As the result got a very favorable change in the absolute funtional profit that contributed to the improvement of the funtional capcity in the elderly whit ischemic ictus starting in the subacute phase after the application of the phisical rehabilitation in the community context
