Abstract: Introduction: Pediatric trauma accounts for approximately 48% of cases encountered in orthopedic emergency services. Associated with high and/or low-energy mechanisms, it can lead children and adolescents to remain hospitalized for extended periods, with a strong influence from psychosomatic aspects. Objective: To analyze the influence of biopsychosocial aspects in children and adolescents in a trauma ward in Recife. Method: A quantitative, cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted after approval by the research ethics committee of the Otávio de Freitas Hospital, under CAAE number 86896425.0.0000.5200. The sample consisted of children and adolescents hospitalized in the pediatric trauma ward of the aforementioned hospital, included due to a diagnosis of pediatric trauma through imaging examination and excluded due to the presence of active infections, refracture in the same segment, or cognitive impairment that prevented them from answering questions. Data was collected using a form developed by the researchers, which was then presented in tables using Microsoft Excel 2010 and subsequently analyzed. Results: 104 individuals, 52% male, with a mean age of 10.34 (±2.26) years, mean weight of 41.19 (± 16.19) kg, mean height of 1.39 (± 3.08) m, and mean BMI of 21.32 (± 12.64). 52% resided outside the metropolitan area, with a mean length of stay of 3.23 (± 1.22) days, during which 36.54% used analgesics and 58.24% underwent surgical interventions. The lower limbs were most affected (54.08%); 94.23% did not use the ward's playroom and 97.12% did not use psychological support. The F12 score was 42.92 for the physical component and 45.97 for the mental component. The FABQ presented a final score of 54.58 (± 21.87), and the kinesiophobia lid scale had an average of 6.13 (± 2.91). Final considerations: The biopsychosocial aspects presented, in the SF-12, mild impairment in activities of daily living and slight impairment in the psychological impact on quality of life. The kinesiophobia lid scale showed moderate alteration, with some fear of feeling pain when moving with mild avoidance, and the FABQ questionnaire showed moderate alteration.
