The Impact of IQ on Risk Management and the Pursuit of Knowledge
This study investigated the relationship between high IQ levels and the propensity for knowledge-seeking and risk-taking, based on a survey administered to the Gifted Debate group, part of the GIP (Genetic Intelligence Project) at CPAH (Heraclitus Research and Analysis Center). This group consists of over 500 members belonging to various high-IQ societies, with scores ranging from 130 to 164. The study analyzed how gifted individuals approach the pursuit of knowledge in situations of uncertainty, particularly in the contexts of health and well-being. The analysis of a dialogue between two brothers, in which questions about genetic predisposition and the search for truth were explored, provided a narrative framework for the investigation. The results suggest that high intelligence can significantly influence the approach to situations that require balancing the need for knowledge with the fear of emotional consequences, highlighting the importance of preventive preparation.
