HISTORICIDAD, PATRIMONIO Y CARACTERIZACIÓN DEL ESPACIO PÚBLICO EN EL PARQUE DE EL CHAMIZAL·EN CIUDAD JUÁREZ, CHIHUAHUA, MÉXICO
Por ser parte del espacio público en una urbe el parque es un referente a través de las prácticas desarrolladas por sus habitantes, aunado al paso del tiempo conforma complejidades que son denominadas patrimonio urbano. Empero la inserción del patrimonio en la ciudad contemporánea se ve envuelta en la complejidad procedente de la construcción de ciudadanía ante el arraigo de los que la habitan y que mediante la apropiación temporal del espacio le lleva a reaparecer como patrimonio cultural. El presente documento explora, por medio de un caso de estudio, las prácticas significativas que se presentan en un espacio público icónico como lo es el parque público federal “El Chamizal” en Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México, y como es que ellas favorecen en la percepción del espacio como patrimonio urbano. Su repercusión en la historia local-internacional permite concebirle como patrimonio urbano, esto se relaciona con dos cuestiones intrínsecas que han estado presentes en el debate académico desde una perspectiva urbana. La primera cuestión es que se le reconoce como lugar histórico con pertinencia de identidad urbana con sentido sociocultural en el espacio público y la segunda que se trata de una zona privilegiada de encuentro, de relaciones y de actividades de ocio. El objetivo es proporcionar una definición y un referente contemporáneo al concepto de espacio público fronterizo con una inscripción histórica que ha logrado trascender, conformar y crear arraigo en el colectivo civil, tomando en consideración los elementos que caracterizan a este sitio, así también los signos de relación que se dan entre el espacio y la sociedad puesto que al interrogarnos acerca del patrimonio urbano nos será posible plantear actuaciones oportunas a futuro.

Abstract:
For been part of the public space in a city, the park is a target through the practices developed by its dwellers, nevertheless with the passage of time it forms complexities turn it on urban heritage. However, the insertion of heritage in the contemporary city is involved in the complexity arising from the construction of citizenship in the face of the roots of those who inhabit it and that through the temporary appropriation of space leads it to reappear as cultural heritage. This document explores, through a case study, the significant practices that occur at an iconic public space named the federal public park "El Chamizal" in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, and how in the people that used this space perceive it. The impact on local-international history allows it to be conceived as urban heritage, this is related to two intrinsic issues that have been present in the academic debate from an urban perspective. The first issue is that it is recognized as a historical place with relevance for urban identity with a sociocultural meaning in public space and the second is that it is a privileged area for meeting, relationships, and leisure activities. The aim is to provide a definition and a contemporary reference to the concept of border public space with a historical inscription that has managed to transcend, shape and create roots in the civil collective, taking into account the elements that characterize this site, as well as the signs of relationship that exists between space and society since by questioning ourselves about urban heritage it will be possible for us to propose timely actions in the future.
