Abstract: Abstract: Parkinson’s Disease (PD) is a chronic and progressive neurodegenerative disease that causes motor impairments, reducing quality of life. Despite pharmacological advances, such interventions have limitations and long-term adverse effects. This study aims to analyze the effects of photobiomodulation as a therapeutic intervention, considering its impacts on motor and functional aspects and quality of life. This article is a systematic literature review, containing questions regarding sources and keywords, in the databases: SCIELO, Virtual Health Library (BVS), Researchgate, PubMed, using the theme photobiomodulation in Parkinson’s. For the authors cited in this discussion, photobiomodulation is a promising therapeutic approach due to its non-invasive nature, associated with a good safety profile, favoring its clinical use. However, larger, controlled, and long-term clinical trials are needed to confirm its efficacy and establish standardized therapeutic protocols.
