Abstract: This study deals with the use of new technologies in the educational environment and their possible influence on the educational leadership of Goiás in the Basic Education Development Index (IDEB). The general objective is to analyze with teachers and managers possible innovative practices, pedagogical strategies implemented that have contributed to the state's educational performance, especially with regard to sustaining and improving its position in the IDEB. Specifically, to investigate the impact of the use of digital technologies in the educational scenario, to show how technology can help the teaching-learning process, to analyze teachers' perceptions of the use of digital technologies in education in Goiás and, finally, to verify possible collaboration regarding the use of new technologies for learning as technological and pedagogical strategies to sustain Goiás' educational leadership in the IDEB. The research carried out was exploratory in nature, with a qualitative approach, with ten teachers from schools that showed the best results in the IDEB, using a questionnaire with ten closed questions. Through this research, it can be seen that the integration of technologies has been a component in improving performance in the IDEB. The implementation of digital whiteboards, virtual learning environments and teacher training are initiatives that favor more dynamic and innovative teaching. Therefore, the implementation of these approaches, investment in educational programs based on active methodologies, digital platforms such as 'Ser Goiás', 'Net Escola' for learning, has favored an improvement in student learning, reflected in the quality of teaching indicators.
