Entre a guerra e a revolução: o impacto da Segunda Guerra Sino-Japonesa na ascensão chinesa

A Segunda Guerra Sino-Japonesa (1937–1945) constituiu um dos episódios mais violentos e decisivos do século XX, deixando marcas profundas na configuração política e social da Ásia. Mais do que um conflito regional, representou um ponto de inflexão na formação da República Popular da China e na consolidação de seu papel como potência global emergente. Este estudo propõe uma análise dos impactos econômicos, políticos e sociais da guerra no processo de desenvolvimento chinês, com especial atenção à ascensão do Partido Comunista e às transformações estruturais que se seguiram ao fim do conflito. Amparada em um referencial teórico interdisciplinar — que articula história, economia, política e relações internacionais —, a pesquisa busca compreender de que forma a experiência da guerra moldou o projeto nacional chinês e contribuiu para o reposicionamento do país no sistema internacional ao longo do século XX e início do XXI.

  • Abstract: The Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945) was one of the most violent and decisive episodes of the twentieth century, leaving a profound legacy on the political and social landscape of Asia. More than a regional conflict, it marked a turning point in the formation of the People’s Republic of China and in the consolidation of its role as an emerging global power. This study analyzes the economic, political, and social impacts of the war on China’s development process, with particular attention to the rise of the Communist Party and the structural transformations that followed the end of the conflict. Supported by an interdisciplinary theoretical framework—integrating history, economics, politics, and international relations—the research seeks to understand how the experience of war shaped China’s national project and contributed to the country’s repositioning in the international system throughout the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.
