Abstract: Background: Exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) is common in adolescents with asthma and may limit physical activity and negatively affect disease control. Although the benefits of regular exercise in asthma management are well established, the specific effects of combined training on EIB remain poorly investigated. Objective: To review, identify, analyze, and discuss current evidence on the effects of combined physical training (aerobic and resistance exercises) on EIB in adolescents with asthma. Methods: An integrative review was conducted across PubMed, SciELO, BVS/LILACS, Web of Science, and Scopus, with no restrictions regarding language or publication date. We included clinical trials involving adolescents with asthma who underwent combined training and were assessed for EIB. Study selection followed the PICO framework. Results: Four studies met the inclusion criteria. Interventions varied in duration (12–16 weeks), frequency (2–3 sessions per week), and exercise composition. All studies reported improvements in cardiorespiratory fitness and/or muscular strength, and only one showed a significant reduction in EIB severity in the trained group. Conclusion: Combined physical training appears to benefit adolescents with asthma through improvements in physical fitness and clinical control. However, the small number of studies and methodological heterogeneity limit firm conclusions about its effects on EIB, underscoring the need for further, well-designed investigations focused on this outcome.
