Abstract: The findings obtained by using open educational resources to strengthen Boolean function simplification skills among students in the “Electrical Principles and Digital Applications” course are presented. These competencies are essential for their application in the design of combinational and sequential logic circuits, which underpins the understanding of computer architectures, interface languages, programmable systems, and the fundamental principles of telecommunications. This study evaluated the influence of an educational resource on the development of specific professional competencies in university students. The results of the statistical analysis showed a significant difference, demonstrating the effectiveness of the resource in enhancing these competencies and confirming its contribution to improving learning in higher education.
