Abstract: Mexican official standards are nothing more than regulations in the labor field that seek to ensure the health and life of women, minors and men who perform an activity. Mexico is part of the International Labor Organization, so the recommendations to improve working conditions issued by the ILO, through a ratified agreement, are integrated into the legal regulations through the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare. NOM-035 is complex to understand for cultural reasons. It is common to infer that entering the labor field implies a risk according to the activity performed, considering the possibility that if it materializes, it will bring with it physical or organic damage that can cause partial or total disability and even death. However, it is not related to issues of psychological illnesses. The subjects of the employment relationship refuse to believe that the workplace is the one that generates the psychosocial risk. It is of utmost importance to analyze NOM035 R in relation to psychosocial risk factors from the perspective of the Federal Labor Law as a safeguard for the life, health and safety of the person who performs material or intellectual work, knowing that it is a human right that must be dignified and socially useful, the protective norms must be made known among the population to whom they are addressed, in such a way that it allows the governed to demand their labor rights.
