Abstract: This article discusses Youth and Adult Education (EJA) as a right, an inclusion policy, and a space for emancipatory formation. It results from a literature review and a pedagogical experience developed in a municipal school in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre (RS), where blended learning strategies were integrated into EJA practices. The analysis is organized into four categories — right to education, emancipatory formation, blended learning and digital technologies, and lifelong learning — constructed from both the literature and teaching practice. The study shows that EJA, inspired by Freirean foundations of Popular Education, can be re-signified through contemporary methodologies that strengthen learners’ protagonism. It concludes that blended learning, when critically incorporated, can enhance permanence, autonomy, and citizenship of EJA students, although structural challenges such as digital inequality and the discontinuity of public policies remain.
