• Abstract:

  Objective:To report a clinical case of a young woman with Caroli's disease, highlighting the best method to establish the diagnosis and perform follow-up. Method: Retrospective qualitative study of a case report. Result and discussion: We report the case of an adolescent with a presumptive diagnosis of Caroli's disease, as well as the diagnostic approach of the same, associated with a brief bibliographic review on the disease. Final considerations: In view of the rarity of Caroli's disease, it is essential to report a case like this to emphasize that such a diagnostic hypothesis must be considered in the context of recurrent cholangitis, especially in childhood and young adults.
