Abstract: The unexpected arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic represented a significant impact on the business world, leading industries and markets to unprecedented diversification. In order to adapt to the changes and demands of consumers, many companies found it necessary to adopt new business models to accommodate the impositions of social distancing, mobility restrictions, border closures and confinement; looking for innovative ways to survive, compete, operate and expand in an uncertain environment. As the economy recovers, diversification is an unstoppable and permanent trend. This research provides a documentary analysis that aims to encourage interest in the study of the context (based on figures, data and business perception) regarding business diversification in response to the pandemic. In the post-pandemic scenario, diversification has been noticed in companies related to e-commerce, home delivery services, online services, local productions, tourism and hospitality, events, food industry and retail trade, who were the big winners or losers in the face of the measures imposed by the COVID-19, being creative and innovative to adapt to the restrictions and unexpected demand, with commercial operations and economic processes with particular dynamics.
