Development of Scalable Business Models in the Service Sector: A Multisectoral Approach Based on Standardization, Replication, and Franchising

The scalability of service-based businesses represents one of the main challenges for entrepreneurs, especially in markets characterized by high informality and dependence on the founder. Although the literature extensively addresses concepts of business growth, there is a significant gap in the practical application of these concepts to small and medium-sized businesses.
This article presents a structured approach to developing scalable businesses, built on practical experience in the creation, structuring, and expansion of companies across different sectors, including beauty salons, flower shops, and barber shops. The analysis demonstrates that scalability is not determined by the industry segment but by the ability to organize processes, systematize operations, and create replication mechanisms.
The results indicate that process standardization, structured knowledge transfer, and the use of expansion models such as franchises are central elements for sustainable growth. This study makes a relevant practical contribution to the field of entrepreneurship by systematizing, based on empirical evidence, a set of practices applicable to the structuring and scalability of businesses in different sectors.
