Abstract: Soybean (Glycine max L.) is one of the world's main agricultural crops and has great economic and social relevance for Brazil, which currently leads the global production and export of the grain. This study aimed to evaluate the agronomic performance of soybean under different seed distribution systems and water regimes during the 2023/2024 growing season in Cachoeira do Sul, RS. The experiment was conducted at the Agronomic Station of the State University of Rio Grande do Sul, in a strip-plot design with a two-factor arrangement and three replications. Factor A comprised four seed distributors (Conventional, Top X3, PlantSystem, and Titanium) and factor B two water regimes (irrigated and rainfed). Plant height, number of pods and grains per plant, thousand-grain weight, and yield were evaluated. There was a significant interaction between distributors and water regimes for most variables. Supplemental irrigation increased average productivity by 17.2% compared to rainfed conditions, with the PlantSystem distributor standing out, showing better productivity in both rainfed and irrigated regimes. Greater uniformity in seed placement resulted in a more homogeneous stand and better use of water resources, reflecting in higher yields. It is concluded that the combination of high-precision seeding technologies and appropriate water management constitutes an efficient strategy to optimize soybean production performance under the edaphoclimatic conditions of Rio Grande do Sul.
