Abstract: This article examines possible approaches to managing refugee crises and cultural conflicts through a Kantian lens. The premise is that, although Immanuel Kant did not directly address the issue of refugees, his concepts of human dignity, the categorical imperative, and cosmopolitan law provide theoretical foundations relevant to contemporary dilemmas. The objective is to explore how Kantian moral and political philosophy can support policies that reconcile state sovereignty with the protection of vulnerable groups. Methodologically, the study conducts a bibliographical review and an exegetical interpretation of Kant’s core works, including Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals, Perpetual Peace, and The Metaphysics of Morals. Among the main findings, the notion of “universal hospitality” stands out as crucial for dealing with forced migration. In conclusion, while these ideas require adaptation to the modern context, Kant’s perspective on dignity and cosmopolitanism remains essential for guiding discussions and practices that aim to safeguard and integrate refugees.
