Abstract:
Introduction: Hypertensive disorders during pregnancy constitute a major public health problem affecting pregnant women worldwide, being more common in developing countries. This condition not only has consequences for the mother's health during pregnancy and postpartum, but also imposes an increase in costs in obstetric and neonatal care, making it both an economic and social problem. Objective: To determine the effect of prenatal check-ups in postpartum patients who presented hypertensive disorders during their pregnancy at the Matilde Hidalgo Specialized Hospital in Procel in the period from May to August 2022. Material and method: The research design is non-experimental, observational - cross-sectional. Conclusion: Performing prenatal check-ups does not reduce complications in pregnant women with hypertensive disorders.
