Ecological awareness, the practice of good living in university education from a sustainability perspective
'The research analyzed several aspects related to environmental care and the lack of awareness surrounding this issue, which threatens the lives of many living beings. The main objective was to awaken an ecological awareness that allows people to understand that caring for nature is not an option, but a vital necessity. Fostering love and respect for the Earth is the first step towards a more just society committed to Buen Vivir (Living Well), where human well-being and ecological balance go hand in hand in a community-based way. The methodology applied was a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, using a survey technique that included bibliographic analysis. The data from the applied instrument were processed using SPSS 25, which indicated positive reliability, with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.93, reflecting a good level of reliability for the instrument used. A review of specialized literature revealed the relevance of ecological values and how this knowledge and awareness of environmental care has been transmitted. This demonstrated an understanding of the use of ancestral knowledge for good living, which also involved knowing the effects that humans have caused on the ecosystem. This gave rise to the need for the implementation of these ecological values for the creation of a just and ethical society in the care of all living beings, marking a process of environmental sustainability.
