Reading Comprehension and Mathematics. Two-sample hypothesis test. Technical High School Case No. 71
El objetivo de esta investigación se centra en probar dos hipótesis, la primera consiste en probar que el promedio de aciertos en ambas asignaturas Comprensión de lectura y Matemáticas que obtuvieron los alumnos a los que se le aplico el examen PLANEA 2017 (Plan Nacional para la Evaluación de los Aprendizajes) es significativamente diferente y una segunda hipótesis que además a mejor nivel de aprovechamiento en Comprensión de lectura mejor será su nivel de aprovechamiento en Matemáticas para efectos de esta investigación se utilizaron los datos obtenidos de escuela Secundaria Técnica No. 71 (Adolfo López Mateos) demostrándose que si existe relación significativa entre los niveles obtenidos y que además a mejor nivel en comprensión lectora mejor nivel será en las matemáticas en un 46% de las veces.

Abstract:
The objective of this research focuses on testing two hypotheses, the first is to prove that the average of correct answers in both subjects Reading Comprehension and Mathematics obtained by the students to whom the PLANEA 2017 exam was applied (National Plan for the Evaluation of of Learning) is significantly different and a second hypothesis is that, in addition, the better the level of achievement in Reading Comprehension, the better the level of achievement in Mathematics. For the purposes of this research, the data obtained from Technical Secondary School No. 71 (Adolfo López Mateos) demonstrating that if there is a significant relationship between the levels obtained and that, in addition, the better the level in reading comprehension, the better the level will be in mathematics 46% of the time.
