Abstract: This article presents the results of an outreach initiative developed at the IFMG aimed at creating and organizing a digital platform for disseminating historical sources related to the city of Ibirité, with an emphasis on the history of its Afro-descendant population. The project focused on recovering and publicizing documents concerning groups often rendered invisible in local history—such as enslaved people and other marginalized segments involved in the formation of the city—in alignment with Laws 10.639/2003 and 11.645/2008. By democratizing access to these historical materials, the project established a digital repository intended for teachers, researchers, and other interested audiences, thereby strengthening teaching and research practices committed to a more plural and inclusive historical perspective.
