CARACTERIZACIÓN AGRONÓMICA DEL MAÍZ ROJO CRIOLLO DEL ESTADO DE GUANAJUATO EN EL MUNICIPIO DE ZUMPANGO, ESTADO DE MÉXICO
The study was carried out in 2020, at the UAEM Zumpango University Center of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico, the main objective was to carry out the agronomic characterization of the creole red pozolero maize from the state of Guanajuato from its yield components and using the Muñoz methodology in 1993 for the calculation of yield per hectare, to carry out the analysis the following variables were considered: Plant height (AP), Ear height (AM). Ear size (TM), Ear thickness (GM), Leaf length (LH), Yield (RTO), for the latter it was carried out according to the Muñoz methodology in 1993. A sampling of five golds was carried out. To obtain the samples within the experimental plot, the variables were read from a sampling length of one linear meter, for each sample and the analysis of the field data was based on descriptive statistics, with In the results obtained, we can mention that the Creole corn of Guanajuato presented an excellent agronomic behavior in the Zumpango region, so we can mention that the region under study is conducive to developing research projects regarding Creole maize and possibly establish the bases for a genetic improvement program with these species and achieve to obtain materials that can exceed the average yield per hectare in this cereal and for the importance it has had to lo lake of human history, it is important to be considered.
