Abstract: Ensuring animal welfare in pig farming and its relationship with productivity brings excellent benefits. This was evidenced by research conducted at Granja Camari. Pig farming is one of the pillars of global livestock farming, with several countries excelling in its production, especially in Europe. Brazil also has a large production, which has evolved over the years, as have concerns about welfare, management, genetics, feeding, environment, and other topics currently discussed as pillars for animal welfare in pig farming and its relationship with productivity. Therefore, there has been a growing concern about how intensively farmed animals are treated. Research has shown that animals raised outside their natural living conditions suffer stress caused by factors such as inadequate temperature in the different categories and types of facilities used. Therefore, it is important to employ welfare practices, promoting better adaptation, stress reduction, and increased productivity. Combining welfare with production generates great results, as demonstrated throughout this work, through data on different types of facilities, housing, climate control, environmental enrichment, and other factors directly linked to welfare and productivity in pig farming.
