Abstract: Given the increasing prevalence of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), this article aims to present the challenges faced by women with this condition, with the objective of analyzing and gathering the available evidence regarding the impact of this syndrome on mental and metabolic health, as well as on quality of life. We will explore the main aspects of polycystic ovary syndrome, including clinical manifestations and treatment options, providing a comprehensive overview of this women's health condition. The results of this research emphasize the need for a patient-centered approach and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care, promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life. In summary, the present study reinforces the importance of regular physical exercise for mental health, demonstrating significant reductions in symptoms of anxiety and depression. Although further research is needed to address the limitations and deepen the understanding of the mechanisms involved, current evidence strongly supports the inclusion of physical activity in strategies for promoting mental health.
