Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of the Mehlich 3 extractant in determining the levels of phosphorus (P), potassium (K), sodium (Na), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), and iron (Fe) in different soil types. The analyses were carried out on samples collected from agricultural areas with varying textural profiles, with the purpose of understanding how the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil influence the extraction and availability of these nutrients. The experimental results were interpreted and analyzed to assess the potential replacement of traditional extraction methods for macro- and micronutrients by the Mehlich 3 method, and to establish correlations with the properties of the analyzed soils. The study discusses the applicability of Mehlich 3 as a multielement method, with the potential to reduce labor time, analysis costs, and optimize laboratory services, in addition to contributing to more accurate and sustainable fertilizer recommendations.
