ANÁLISIS Y PROPUESTAS DE LA AGROECOLOGÍA EN LA PRODUCCIÓN ORGÁNICA Y SU CERTIFICACIÓN

La cada vez mayor coorporatización del sector orgánico, es una realidad a la que se enfrentan todos los días miles de productores orgánicos, quienes hoy están en desventaja. A pesar de lo anterior muchos cuentan con una certificación orgánica, y presentan patrones agroecológicos en el diseño y gestión de sus sistemas de producción.
Para ayudar al desarrollo del sector orgánico bajo un paradigma agroecológico, en este artículo se presentan 12 Principios Agroecológicos para la producción orgánica; así como una propuesta de norma para la certificación de productos orgánicos-agroecológicos, que sientan las bases de un nuevo modelo de certificación que diferencia a las operaciones orgánicas-agroecológicas de las orgánicas-industriales; permitiendo así, que los consumidores orgánicos puedan dirigir su toma de decisiones hacia productos agroecológicos.

It is necessary to channel the growth of the organic sector under an agroecological paradigm, to guarantee that its management is congruent with its principles; allowing to avoid the characteristic patterns of industrial agriculture and the economic model that it has represented. Organic agriculture should be a trigger for rural development and social welfare.
The increasing coorporatization of the organic sector is a reality faced every day by the more than 215 thousand organic producers in Mexico, many of whom, in addition to having an organic certification, present agroecological patterns in their design. and managing its operations.
To help the development of the organic sector under an agroecological paradigm, this article presents 12 Agroecological Principles for organic production; as well as the main contributions of a proposal called: "Technical Standard for Agroecological Certification of Organic Products", which lay the foundations for a new certification model that differentiates organic-agroecological operations from organic-industrial ones; thus allowing organic consumers to have more information, which will help them direct their decision-making towards agroecological products.
