Abstract: This article aims to analyze the importance of ABA in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for the inclusion of children with ASD. The choice of topic is justified by the observation of the content covered during the postgraduate course, as well as the content being worked on in special education. Recent literature indicates that AAC is an essential resource for expanding the possibilities of expression and social interaction for these children, contributing to their cognitive, emotional, and social development. The research has a qualitative approach and uses bibliographic review as its methodology. Data were collected through the analysis of several scientific articles, selected from Google Scholar and other databases, that discuss the methods, challenges, and impacts 2 of AAC in the school context. The results indicate that the use of AAC promotes significant gains in functional communication, autonomy, and participation. However, challenges remain, such as insufficient teacher training, institutional resistance, and a scarcity of accessible technological resources. It is concluded that the effective implementation of AAC in Early Childhood Education depends on public policies, teacher training, and institutional commitment to school inclusion.
