Abstract: Family participation in the school environment has been widely discussed in the educational field due to its relevance for the overall development of students and for the improvement of academic performance. In this context, the present research addresses the relationship between family and school, highlighting the importance of the partnership between these institutions in the teaching and learning process. The objective of the study was to analyze the importance of family participation in the school environment and its impacts on students' academic performance. The objective of the study was to analyze the importance of family involvement in the school environment and its impacts on students' academic performance. The methodology adopted is characterized as a bibliographic research, with a qualitative approach and descriptive nature, carried out through the analysis of books, scientific articles, journals, and documents related to the topic. The results showed that family involvement contributes significantly to learning development, promoting motivation, discipline, commitment to studies, and the construction of positive educational habits. On the other hand, the absence of this monitoring can lead to difficulties related to school performance, participation in academic activities, and the socioemotional development of students. The research also highlighted that strategies such as pedagogical meetings, integration projects, and the use of communication technologies strengthen the connection between family and school. It is concluded that family participation represents a fundamental element for strengthening the educational process, contributing to better academic results and the comprehensive development of students. Thus, it becomes necessary for school and family to maintain a relationship based on dialogue, cooperation, and shared responsibility, promoting a more inclusive, participatory, and quality education.
