The importance of affection in confronting the shadow: analysis of the Chinese work Till the End of the Moon

This article seeks to highlight the importance of affective structuring in ego construction and how much the environment interferes in the choices each person makes when confronting the shadow. To understand affection and integration with the shadow, a symbolic analysis of the Chinese series "Till the End of the Moon" was carried out, illustrating the psychic functioning of confronting the shadow and the relevance of affective structuring in order to go through the process of coming into contact with the dark side that exists in each individual and also in the collective.  The research was conducted through a bibliographic review of books and articles from academic databases, using a theoretical basis grounded in analytical psychology to correlate the Chinese work with the psycho-emotional relationship that exists between Western and Eastern cultures.
