Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, led to one of the greatest public health crises of the 21st century, with a significant global impact. Although the disease has been controlled with the advancement of vaccination, many individuals who experienced severe forms of COVID-19, particularly those who required prolonged hospitalization and ventilatory support, continue to face persistent sequelae. These sequelae, known as Post-COVID Syndrome or Long COVID, include symptoms such as extreme fatigue, muscle weakness, respiratory and cognitive difficulties. Physiotherapy has proven to be essential in the functional rehabilitation of these patients, helping to restore impaired motor and respiratory function. This study aims to analyze the importance of physiotherapy in the rehabilitation of post-hospitalized COVID-19 patients, investigating the primary sequelae of the disease and the role of physiotherapists in the recovery process. The research was conducted through a bibliographic review, focusing on recent scientific articles, and was complemented by the development of an app aimed at disseminating information on physiotherapeutic rehabilitation in the post-COVID phase. Thus, the study provides a contribution to understanding the sequelae of the disease and the relevance of physiotherapy in the recovery of these patients.
