Esta pesquisa analisa as táticas e estratégias da esquerda e seus partidos políticos na arena democrática brasileira entre as “Jornadas de Junho” /2013 e as Eleições gerais em Outubro/2022. É desafiador escrever sobre as categorias Democracia e Partidos Políticos de esquerda nos âmbitos marxiano e marxistas, na atualidade, em virtude do processo de erosão dos direitos e liberdades democráticas em curso no mundo, especificamente no Brasil. Por diversas vezes e em países muito distintos, esse processo tem colocado em xeque não apenas as instituições democráticas existentes e a ideia de Democracia, mas afeta também os partidos de programas e tradição de esquerda, na capacidade de endereçar os problemas do mundo contemporâneo, e propor novas alternativas ao status quo. Nesse trabalho delinearemos sobre as características fundamentais da Democracia Liberal e os elementos que constituem sua crise de legitimidade no mundo contemporâneo e no Brasil, além de explicitar as táticas e estratégias dos Partidos Políticos de Esquerda no país, tomando como marco temporal o período das Jornadas de Junho/2013 à 3ª vitória de Luís Inácio Lula da Silva e a “Frente Ampla” encabeçada pelo Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT), ao executivo brasileiro em 2022. O referencial teórico metodológico que será utilizado nessa pesquisa se baseia na teoria marxiana de compreensão da realidade, tendo como parâmetro a divisão da sociedade em classes sociais em conflito e esmiuçando as categorias Democracia e Partidos Políticos de Esquerda, além de auxiliar na contextualização histórica das transformações políticas que ocorreram no período de Junho/2013 à Dezembro/2022.

  • Abstract: This research analyzes the tactics and strategies of the left and its political parties within the Brazilian democratic arena between the “June Protests” of 2013 and the general elections of October 2022. Writing about the categories of Democracy and Left-Wing Political Parties from Marxian and Marxist perspectives in the contemporary period is challenging, due to the ongoing process of erosion of democratic rights and freedoms worldwide, particularly in Brazil. On several occasions and in very different countries, this process has not only called into question existing democratic institutions and the very idea of Democracy, but has also affected programmatic left-wing parties and those with a leftist tradition, especially in their capacity to address the problems of the contemporary world and to propose new alternatives to the status quo. This study outlines the fundamental characteristics of Liberal Democracy and the elements that constitute its crisis of legitimacy in the contemporary world and in Brazil. In addition, it examines the tactics and strategies of Left-Wing Political Parties in the country, taking as a temporal framework the period from the June Protests of 2013 to the third victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the “Broad Front” led by the Workers’ Party (PT) in the Brazilian executive elections of 2022. The theoretical-methodological framework adopted in this research is based on Marxian theory as a means of understanding reality, using as a reference the division of society into conflicting social classes, and critically analyzing the categories of Democracy and Left-Wing Political Parties, as well as contributing to the historical contextualization of the political transformations that occurred between June 2013 and December 2022.
