Abstract: This article aims to identify positive and negative aspects of the literacy process within child development, and to highlight the real role of the educator, as well as the pedagogue and the school institution. Given the importance of this topic, research was conducted based on fundamentals, which should demonstrate how the literacy and literacy process occurs, taking into account the joint work of the educator and the student, showing how important good work done by an educated person is for the life trajectory of the learner. Early childhood education in the country has been increasingly concerned with the development methods used within the school environment, in addition to improving teacher training so that they are increasingly qualified to face the various challenges of children's daily lives. Understanding the importance of preschool as a fundamental stage in the development of the individual allows us to work in a targeted manner on each skill and competence in favor of effective work, resulting in the child's awareness of his/her “self” and the space he/she occupies, in addition to the role he/she represents in society. This study will have as its main methodology descriptive qualitative research through bibliographic and virtual analysis, which will be developed based on reading and critical analysis of published and selected theories that deal with the proposed theme.
