• Abstract: This present study aimed to identify what are the actions taken by nurses in the preparation and administration of antibiotics in the hospital in all its technical extension in order to give maximum attention to the safety of assisted customer, based on these global importance of fundamentals in order to avoid the development of micro-organisms in a unified resistance, resulting in the creation of a standard operating procedure to be used by us, health professionals as a practical working tool, related to such care. When administered carelessly, antimicrobial agents can cause a person to make use of this therapy died and knowing bacterial growth, logarithmically speaking, follow the safety line of reasoning, questioning us about the role of nursing when the antimicrobial treatment is prescribed. So here we present principles surveyed by us, in order to reduce human error on medicines and develop a pattern of training, in order to reduce the risk of failure before irreversible damage. It is up to us as professional nurses to general attention between the prescription and the customer, scientific, chemical and pharmacological knowledge of the drug to be administered, as well as its route of administration and length of time in the body. A literature search using the following keywords was conducted: Nursing X Antibiotics X Adult Patient safety X Bacterial resistance X Multiple drug, through articles in scientific databases LILACS, MEDLINE and BDENF, as well as protocols and books.
